Bogdanka PTR Honda's Sam Lowes has taken pole position by almost half a second for tomorrow's second round of the World Supersport Championship at Imola.

Lowes put his CBR600RR Honda on pole ahead of DeltaFin Kawasaki rider Sheridan Morais, who was 0.465s in arrears.

Morais' team-mate, Kenan Sofuoglu, who had set the pace earlier, was third quickest as he claimed a front row start, with fourth position going to Jules Cluzel, who was so impressive at Phillip Island in Australia.
