Sam Lowes will start on pole position for the third round of the 2012 World Supersport Championship after his provisional effort was good enough to stand throughout a chilly Q2.

The British rider, who is still chasing his first WSS win since making his full-time debut at the start of the 2011 season, set a marker of 1min 38.900secs in Q1, a lap that wouldn't be bettered during the entirety of the Q2 session.

Similarly, Broc Parkes's Q1 lap was good enough to seal a spot on the front row alongside Lowes, though the Australian will be encouraged to have been quickest of all during Q2.
