Jeremy Guarnoni has returned to the top of the FIM Superstock 1000 Championship timesheets after dominating second free practice at Misano.

The Frenchman, who is riding the MRS Kawasaki after making the switch from Pedercini Kawasaki between races, has been in scintillating form so far this weekend having not dropped out of the top two positions in the timed sessions.

Currently second on the provisional grid, Guarnoni will be confident of securing pole position after beating the competition by three tenths of a second in FP2, the youngster out-pacing Ten Kate Honda Jnr's Fabio Massei and his former Pedercini team-mate Bryan Staring.

Sylvain Barrier was the best of the title contenders in fourth position, ahead of wild-card rider Michele Magnoni, the G.M BMW rider leading a train of Italian riders that include Lorenzo Baroni, Eddi La Marra, Marco Bussolotti and Lorenzo Savadori. Frenchman Matthieu Lussiana rounded out the top ten on the ASPI Kawasaki.
