Sam Lowes has extended his claim for World Supersport pole position at Motorland Aragon by continuing his dominant performance in second free practice.

The British rider, who commands a five tenth advantage over his rivals heading into Q2, was again a clear four tenths up on the competition as he rounded the Spanish circuit in 2mins 02.648secs.

A truncated session that was halted with three minutes remaining by a red-flag inducing crash involving Martin Jessopp, Fabien Foret was second fastest on the Intermoto Step Kawasaki, ahead of ZX-6R counterpart Kenan Sofuoglu on the DeltaFin-backed machine.

Jules Cluzel was fourth fastest on the PTR Honda, ahead of Broc Parkes, Sheridan Morais and leading Triumph representative Alex Baldolini, while Andrea Antonelli, Jed Metcher and Roberto Tamburini rounded out the top ten.
