Provisional pole sitter Jeremy Guarnoni has warmed up for Superstock 1000 qualifying by going quickest in second free practice at Silverstone.

Having been fastest in the wet during provisional qualifying, the Frenchman continued to set a fierce pace on the MRS Kawasaki, going almost one second faster than countryman Sylvain Barrier to set the bestlap of the weekend thus far.

Barrier and his BMW Italia Lorenzo Baroni, who was fourth fastest, were however responsible for bringing the session to an early end after both fell at turn eight in the closing stages. Both riders are reported to have been taken to the medical centre for checks.

Eddi La Marra was third fastest on the Barni Ducati, with two-time race winner Bryan Staring moving up the order in fifth position aboard the Pedercini Kawasaki, while Marco Bussolotti, Kev Coghlan, Christoffer Bergman, Ondrej Jezek and Markus Reiterberger completing the top ten.
