Jules Cluzel came out top in a weather-influenced second free practice sessions for the World Supersport Championship at Silverstone, the Frenchman emerging more than four seconds faster than any of his rivals.

With an earlier downpour consigning the circuit to wet conditions in the early stages, lap times would eventually come down as the circuit dried, with Cluzel timing his run at the end on slick tyres to open up a large advantage over his rivals.

Broc Parkes led the distant challenge in second place on the Ten Kate Honda, ahead of Florian Marino, who once again showed great strides on the new MSD RN India Kawasaki to set the third quickest lap time.

With a large disparity in the lap times, championship leader Kenan Sofuoglu was fourth best, albeit more than six seconds off the ultimate pace, ahead of Hungarian riders Gabor Talmacsi and Imre Toth, while Andrea Antonelli, Balazs Nemeth, Raffaele de Rosa and Dan Linfoot completed the top ten.
