Salom returns to WSS with Intermoto

2011 World Supersport runner-up David Salom will look to go one better in 2013 after penning a deal with Intermoto Kawasaki.
Former World Supersport Championship runner-up David Salom will return to the '600' series in 2013 after agreeing to join the race-winning Intermoto Kawasaki team.

Salom finished second to Chaz Davies in the 2011 WSS standings aboard the Provec Kawasaki, despite failing to win a race, prompting a return to the World Superbike Championship in 2012 with Team Pedercini.

However, in a season beset with injuries, Salom made only a handful of points' appearances before parting ways prior the season finale.

As such, Salom – who also made a brief MotoGP appearance with Avintia in 2012 - will now reacquaint himself with the Kawasaki ZX-6R under the guidance of Intermoto Racing, the Czech team having claimed two race wins with Fabien Foret on the way to fourth in the overall standings last season.

As well as signing Salom, Intermoto will receive full support of Kawasaki Europe in 2013.
