Kenan Sofuoglu continues to lead the way as the second day of World Supersport pre-season testing continued at Phillip Island, the Turk turning in another new fastest lap.
Having commanded a significant advantage over his nearest rivals on day one, Sofuoglu showed little sign of his dominance abating as he went even quicker within minutes of the morning session getting underway.
Turning in a time of 1min 33.505secs, the marker would remain more than good enough to the chequered flag, the MAHI Kawasaki rider maintaining a half-second advantage over PATA Honda's Michael van der Mark in second position.
With four different manufacturers represented inside the top four, Kev Coghlan was a promising third quickest on the DMC Panavto Yamaha, while Vladimir Leonov continued to fly the flag for Yakhnich MV Agusta in fourth position.
The biggest improver overnight, Roberto Tamburini completed the morning session with the fifth best time on the San Carlo-backed Puccetti Kawasaki, while PJ Jacobsen continued to shame more experienced rivals by progressing to sixth on the Intermoto Kawasaki.
With less than half a second covering seventh down to 13th, Lorenzo Zanetti headed up an order that included former Moto2 rider Ratthapark Wilairot, Fabio Menghi and leading local favourite Bryan Staring.
The session did not pass without incident, however, with Christian Gamarino and Nacho Calero coming down together at turn nine. Both riders have been transferred to the medical centre for checks.
