Yakhnich MV Agusta's Jules Cluzel maintained his place at the top of the combined timesheets following second free practice for the World Supersport Championship at Sepang, Malaysia.

A noticeably slower session than in the morning as temperatures continued to rise, Cluzel's earlier effort of 2mins 09.423secs would prove enough to keep him ahead on the combined timesheets, with Ratthapark Wilairot – who suffered a fall - and Florian Marino completing an unchanged top three.

Quickest of the FP2 session itself was Michael van der Mark, who was one of the few riders to improve on his morning effort, even if it wasn't enough for him to ascend the overall order.

Indeed, only one rider would make significant in-roads during FP2 as Go Eleven Kawasaki's Roberto Rolfo jumped from 11th to sixth, behind Kenan Sofuoglu. The remainder of the top ten would remain in the same order, however, with Kev Coghlan, PJ Jacobsen, Lorenzo Zanetti and Raffaele de Rosa completing the leading positions.
