Rivamoto will return to World Supersport Championship action at Jerez with Russian rider Vladimir Leonov, it has been confirmed.

The Russian outfit competed with Jack Kennedy to the end of the 2013 WSS season and though it managed to secure an outing at the Phillip Island opener with ex-MotoGP rider Bryan Staring, funding issues have seen it on the sidelines for much of 2014.

Nonetheless, the team will be back with Leonov on a Honda CBR600RR in Spain, the Russian rider having lost his seat at Yakhnich MV Agusta after the Yakhnich team was forced to split from the Italian manufacturer. Leonov remains contracted to Yakhnich and has been earmarked for a move into the World Superbike Championship next season.

Meanwhile, Jerez will also see the return of Australian outfit AARK Racing, which will enter a Honda CBR600RR having run a Triumph for Mitchell Carr last season. Matt Davies, who competed with PTR Honda for much of the 2013 season, will be on riding duties.

In addition, Dominic Schmitter and Ferran Casas Pendon will also compete in Jerez on their respective wild-card Yamahas.
