World Supersport Championship runner-up PJ Jacobsen will race with a CORE Motorsport-backed Ten Kate Honda team in 2016.

The American had begun the 2015 season with Intermoto Kawasaki team, but joined CORE Honda after the Czech-based outfit folded six races into the year. Notching up wins at Sepang and Magny-Cours, Jacobsen briefly mounted a title challenge before Kenan Sofuoglu sealed the crown in France earlier this month.

Nonetheless, with second position in the standings now guaranteed for Jacobsen ahead of the season finale in Qatar, Ten Kate Honda has announced it has signed him to the team for 2016, while CORE Motorsport will become its primary backer.
