Lucas Mahias has led a Yamaha lockout of the top four spots before a red flag for safety conditions prematurely ended the short FP3 session.

The World Supersport championship leader Mahias had set the standard to beat with a 1m 41.336s and with a number of rivals on faster laps, a red flag was called out with just over one minute of the session remaining due to safety conditions.

As a result, Mahias kept hold of top spot in a Yamaha domination with Kallio Racing Yamaha’s Sheridan Morais second and Niki Tuuli third with GRT Yamaha’s Federico Caricasulo in fourth.

Defending World Supersport champion Kenan Sofuoglu was forced to settle for fifth in FP3 ahead of Friday’s fastest rider Jules Cluzel on the CIA Landlords Insurance Honda and MV Agusta’s PJ Jacobsen.

Gino Rea (Team Go Eleven Kawasaki), Alessandro Zaccone (MV Agusta) and Hannes Soomer (WILSport Racedays Honda) rounded out the top ten contenders.
