Lowes would also capitalise on Parkes's struggles to get second for his sixth podium of the year, though the Australian resisted his charging team-mate David Salom to the chequered flag for third.
Davies, meanwhile, favoured caution in the final laps, allowing James Ellison through into fifth place knowing full well that there was a sizeable gap back to Foret, who by now was down to eighth anyway behind Roberto Tamburini.
As such, Davies needed to merely cross the line to seize a maiden World Supersport title for both himself and the ParkinGO/BE1 Yamaha team, an objective he duly fulfilled, much to his and the team's delight.
Behind Foret in eighth was his Ten Kate Honda team-mate Florian Marino, while Ronan Quarmby sealed his first top ten finish of the season after a competitive run on the Suriano Triumph.
Balazs Nemeth, Vittorio Iannuzzo, Miguel Praia, Alexander Lundh and wild-card Louis Bulle rounded out the points' paying positions.
