Motec was running the show for Kawasaki...the data belongs to Kawasaki so it is prudent and appropriate to assume that kawasaki would indeed give the relevant data to its current factory backed team (if for no other reason than to provide an advantage for the current factory team). If not (BIG, IF NOT) then their factory team will be forced to start from scratch and not being able to mount a title challenge until later in the season.
With that said, Lorenzini was running Kawasakis last year so they are not unfamiliar with the bike and should prove an early front runner especially in the hands of a double world champ..
