Fair play to Simon Buckmaster and PTR for going about things in a professional and transparent manner.
In world supersport you pretty much have to pay for a ride, end of. I'm not going to begrudge a team that is well run and gives its riders the service they pay for, though it seems that some will.
Racing is expensive and why should racers be subsidised to do their hobby? As Rick says, if you are good enough you can pay your dues at PTR and move up with your career. Or you could give your money to Rob Mac...
What's more, I am sure that PTR will invest money back into the sport by supporting a young rider for whom talent is the currency, just as they have always done in the past.
