Personally, it appeared to me that Keenen was leaned over at the same angle as Sam when the impact occured. If Keenan was truly diving under then he would have had a greater lean angle than Sam, and sure enough immediately after the collision Keenan was able to find more lean angle. Those observations convince me that Keenan's true intent was to barge Sam off line - a move deserving of penalty.
Neil Hodgson - can't blame him for bigging-up the Lowes boys - it's part of what they pay him for. I think he is a great commentator - he sees and understands so much which less experienced observers miss.
The protest - well it was worth a try, even if Yachnich knew there was only a very slight chance of success. And what's more, it draws attention to Sofuoglu's riding reputation and makes future iffy moves more likely to scrutiny. Helium boy has history of unfair and unsportsmanlike riding and repeat occurences could stack up against him in future reviews.
