Wiechers-Sport has announced the signing of Kristian Poulsen for the final European event on the 2008 World Touring Car Championship calendar at Monza.

The Danish driver has already competed in a number of events this year in the WTCC for his own Poulsen Motorsport team but will now switch to Dieter Wiechers' team for the Italian race weekend where he will race the car used by Duncan Huisman at Oschersleben.

Poulsen will not be joined by regular Wiechers-Sport racer Olivier Tielemans, who has seen his season beset by financial problems linked to his main sponsor.

The former N.Technology man will be replaced by Japanese racer Takayuki Aoki who will be making his debut in the series.

Aoki will also take part in the final two rounds of the season at Okayama and Macau.
