What do you expect from the FIA, it was clear from the first race they didn't want BMW winning again, WRC is the same allowing ford to cheat with team orders to try and stop Loeb winning again, not to mention the cheating to allow Schumacher/Ferrari and now Hamilton/McLaren to win the f1 championship.

alex, how have SEAT been cheating?? the bms, chevys and even honda, have all been running at same pace. diesels now outsell petrol in europe, so they have as much right to compete in motorsport. in second race, the bms had the legs on SEAT, so where they cheating???

Alex - why are they cheating? They are absolutely regular - BMW had advantage throughout the last three seasons in terms of straight line speed due to their engines and the likes of the RWD cars. Seat made something new which is absolutely in the rules - and who many times this year rules have been changed - halved the rpm of the turbo, extra weight, etc. Look at the brand new Honda Accord - how fast JT is in the straights. Next year Thompson will be up in the business once again. New Chevy is coming too, so BMW has to invent something new, or they will be in the back of the points.

I think any championship that is manipulated by ballast to change the outcome is no better than ice dancing or ski jumping as a sport, where they give points for how good you look :?. Its just not pure racing. Its clear the FIA didn't want Priaulx to win again. Good luck next year Andy wherever you decide to go.

totally unfounded cheat comment there

The diesel developement broke no rules, in fact the only cheats are the rule makers who constantly moved the goalposts to handicap SEAT

I don't have any particular preference between BMW and Seat but I'm sick of seeing the comments from the passionate anti-diesel ppl here. A diesel engine is no more of a 'cheat' than BMW having rear-wheel drive all these years competing against FWD cars.

To those who believe SEAT cheat, the irony is they are the only rule-abiding team in the championship because it isn't written anywhere that a TDI isn't allowed. By contrast, the other teams have concessions so they can keep up, thus technically making them the 'cheat' party. You can't banish SEAT for coming along and bringing something new and effective to the table - motorsport has always been about pioneers after all!

There is a difference between saying a team is cheating and being against the spirit of the regulations.
