2nd was a mega result for Andy, yet I feel that if he had a bit more power or tried a little harder, he'd have won..

Was a very good race and a very good move when he took 2nd from Gene, just following Yvan through.

There again, points mean prizes.

well done Andy, hope this gives you a chance for the rest of the season against the Seat teams.

Matt, i'm sure he was trying as hard as possible, more power would be the issue! Last time i saw Andy was at the Race of Champions in December and he was awesome in the Ford WRC setting the fastest lap time (iirc)

Andy's a true british talent (if you can class him as british..) and it's brilliant to see him back on top of his game.

I seem to agree him being quickest with the WRC, but I think he was one of the top guys on all the timesheets... which says a lot!

I'd expect if Andy could've "gone a little quicker" to win it he'd have done so.

It was still an awesome drive as the Seats, while not having a top speed advantage this weekend, could still pull a wee bit on initial lift out of the corners due to different power characteristics. Yet the bit of advantage which the BMW's seemed to have mid-corner was hard to exploit sometimes when there was a Seat in the way. Not forgetting either that the Seats have one or two very classy drivers in them also who would be quick no matter what car they were in!

All made for terrific racing and good to see Andy back on something approaching equal terms.
