Good for BMW, having had all their own hard work reigned in by the forever whinging SEAT, it's about time BMW bit back. All the rule changes have been at the behest of SEAT who built an uncompetative car and whinged that BMW had built a better one then they had.

There's a reason SEAT left the BTCC, Alan Gow wouldn't bow into their quit threats if rules weren't made changed to make their cars better.

Gaara, it's not specific to SEAT, it's the whole VAG group, like Audi whinging all the time in ALMS when their diesels were beaten by the small LMP2 Porsche. These people do not practice sport, they buy a marketing tool and whinge until they get the rules that make them look good.

Diesels should NEVER be winning against petrols anyway, as it's a weaker technology in terms of power output. Get back to the ancient rules: same capacity, same rules, and if the diesels are that good, we'll see who wins.

But as long as the rules with authorize 2litres turbodiesels against 2litres aspirated petrols, that will not be a championship, just a show.

Boycott the WTCC and LMS is the only answer

The ironic thing is that the rules were partially put in place by BMW (who were on the board that decides these things) prior to their entry into the championship. When they had moulded the regs to suit themselves, they entered the championship and pretty much dominated it for four or five years. Now, someone else has stepped up their game and BMW throws it's toys out of the pram.
I don't like the diesel cars, personally, but if the rules allow for them, and the cars are within the regs, there's no point in complaining.

Get rid of all weight compensations. Just give the manufacturers one set of rules and one base weight.

Let them decide on front or rear wheel drive. There shouldn't be any weight difference.

This makes a mockery of professional motor racing! :? :?
