Bin your diesel engines then and race everyone else on an undisputably fair basis.

The other teams didn't sulk off last year when the diesels plainly had an advantage.

Poor show from Seat as a company if they're going to spit the dummy at the first sign of things going the other way!

This just proves that when the engines are made to be the same as the rest of teh field SEAT has done no other development to the car except the engine because it has an unfair advantage. Get rid of diesel in motorsport. It has no place there.

Love it - the seats have a turbo, as they lack power. Perhaps you think diesel is a better fuel, but that is not the case. Look at all the horrible black smoke that comes out the back of the cars under heavy acceleration, and on the over run.

The only reason seat have an advantage is because they have a turbo. The WTCC was meant to be a natuarally asperated series. Seat, and all manufacturers could easily run bio fuel, and have a great, close championship.

The diesels have an unfair advantage, and without the boost advantage of the turbo, they are showing exactly where they should be. Look at Tom Coronal - he's in a petrol powered car and 3rd on the grid. Says it all.

"Get rid of diesel in motorsport. It has no place there."

Why? Most manufactures build dielsel cars, and toruing cars are based on production cars.

And look at the winners of LeMans over the last few years. All deisels.

Amazing things... You mean BMW should add a turbo? Don't be so silly. Any car witha turbo will have an advantage. BMW would be unstopable with a turbo, especially on the starts. Chevy have a great engine, and as has been mentioned were fast...due to their wieght advantage!

All cars should be naturally asperated. The SEAT's could do just aswell with a bit more power, but without a turbo, due to their power delivery.

Again the FIA, show their stupidity.

FooAtari - yes, but we're not talking about LeMans. You are right every manufacturer makes diesel cars, so why not make it a whole diesel championship, then there would be less crying.

Diesel isn't the wat to go, biofuel is, so lets stop all this diesel nonsence, it is not the way.......

You have a very short memory. BMW moaned about the SEAT'S all last season. If i remember right they wanted to bring out there own version of the diesal engine but were unable toi do it because of fuel consumption.

judas, you prove that there is at least one person in the world, who takes any heed of what clarkson says! funny, he even called the bmw 330d, one of the BEST cars ever!!!
diesels are here to stay and they certainly showed that they had no advantage in pau. now we should ban the chevy and bmws as they seem to have an unfair advantage!!!!!!!

What the WTCC (And LMS) needs is a fair way of balancing the cars.

Balance on power and diesel has more torque
Balance on torque and diesel has no power
Balance on fuel flow rate and diesel gets more energy

The only fair way would be to balance the cars on calorific value of fuel per second, based off a sample of a regulated fuel.
