The second meeting on the 2010 World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) schedule at Puebla in Mexico has been officially cancelled due to the heavy floods that have killed more than 40 in the country - but Zandvoort may yet step into the breach

Yeah, that's the official FIA statement.
We just had the WRC in Leon last week with absolutely no problem... and that's closer to the "unrest" and much, much harder to secure.
I call complete BS. Something else is behind this. (I live about 30 mins from the circuit)

Yep, WRC Mexico had no "unrest" and ran ok. I haven't heard of any security concerns in Puebla. The reasons they give makes me suspicious it had to do with something else. Perhaps last year's fatal accident in the circuit.

Last year's reace was fun and it wes one of only two FIA sanctioned events this year in Mexico, so yeah, I care.

I'm inclined to agree with Ghastly, The Puebla round last year from memory (and previous round to that) have all been rather good, actually offering up some racing and overtaking.
