Jaap van Lagen will be allowed to compete in the latest rounds of the World Touring Car Championship at Pau despite the fact that the Russian Bears Motorsport Lada 110 remains ineligible to compete in the series.
Having been allowed to compete in Valencia two weeks ago despite the cars failing to comply to the required homologation forms, the team headed to Pau looking to try and pick up its first Independents' Trophy points of the campaign.
However, the cars of Van Lagen and team-mate Viktor Shapovalov again failed to pass scrutineering with the intake and outlet ports of the cyclinder head on the engines still not conforming to the homologation form.
With the other teams given permission for the team to race, Russian Bears will be allowed to contest the two races at Pau and the next two races at Brno without scoring points but the team will be unable to compete from Estoril onwards if the current issues aren't fixed.
Shapovalov won't compete at Pau having failed to set a lap-time within the qualification maxima, with his best lap being over a second outside the required time.
