Alain Menu secured another podium finish in the Buenos Aires 200km after partnering Chevrolet Elaion Racing team driver Cristian Ledesma to third place.
Menu, along with fellow WTCC racer Rob Huff, was called into the team for the biggest event on the Argentine TC 2000 Touring Car Championship calendar.
Having been handed his Chevrolet Astra in fifth place, Menu was able to make up two positions during his stint in the car to secure third place, which marked the fourth podium in four attempts for the Swiss star.
"Cristian gave me the car in an excellent fifth position," he said. "In the first laps of my stint, I tried to assess the track conditions and the balance of the car and was then able to keep a good pace, with a car which ran perfectly.
"I am very happy that I could bring the Chevrolet to the podium and proud to have had again the opportunity to participate in this great motoring event."
Huff meanwhile, finished in sixth place alongside Marcelo Bugliotti and said he was happy with how his race had panned out, with the Briton having run the first stint of the event.
"As I was doing the first stint, I tried not to make mistakes and find a pace that would allow us to climb positions," he said. "That's what happened and thanks also to a very fast driver change, we reached an excellent sixth position.
"I enjoyed this exciting experience, especially after the disillusion in 2006, when I could not even take the wheel in the race, after the early retirement of the car."
