Thompson: I am working for the best team.

James Thompson has reiterated his determination to turn N.Technology into winners again ahead of the latest World Touring Car Championship round at the Oschersleben.

The team have struggled to develop the Honda Accord this season and while it has shown flashes of speed on various occasions, bad luck and reliability mean Thompson has finished inside the points just twice this year.

Nonetheless, Thompson is confident they are making progress and while the multiple WTCC race winner remains a target to sign for other teams, he adds that he wouldn't consider going anywhere other than with 'the best team in the WTCC'.

"I truly believe I am working for the best team in the WTCC paddock,” he said. "The dedication shown by each team member, regardless of what their job description is, is phenomenal.”

Having finished third last season with the ageing Alfa Romeo 156, Thompson is confident Oschersleben has the potential to bring the best out in both himself and the car.

"We had a remarkable season last year and, although our performance isn't at the level we would like to be at currently, the team is as capable of producing a race-winning car as they were in 2007. I hope Oschersleben brings us closer to that goal with some solid racing."
