Couto joins N.Technology for Macau.

Experienced racer Andre Couto is to rejoin the N.Technology team for the final World Touring Car round of the season at Macau.

Couto is a former Formula 3 winner of the season finale spectacular around the streets of the small island, while he has also raced there for the last three seasons when the legendary event was included on the WTCC calendar.

Couto competed with N.Technology at Macau last season, albeit in the Alfa Romeo 156, but failed to start when he crashed in qualifying. Nonetheless, the Portuguese driver will revive his relationship with the Italian team for this year's event at the wheel of a Honda Accord Euro R.

Having spent the season racing in the Japanese Super GT Series, Couto is excited about the prospect of returning to a circuit he knows better than perhaps any other person on the grid.

"Macau has always been a special race for me and being given the opportunity to race there again with N.Technology is great.

"It's a very demanding track, which commends a driver's attention but everyone enjoys it greatly! Having seen what the car can do this year, I look forward to getting behind the wheel and seeing what James and I can do on these famous streets."

Joining Imola winner James Thompson in the team, team manager Andrea Muller was thrilled to have signed someone with a crucial ability to set the car up.

"André has raced with us on several occasions and we always welcome his collaboration," said Team Manager Andrea Muller. "He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Macau and we look forward to having him compete with us again."
