Pierre Yves-Corthals has seen his World Touring Car Championship campaign draw to a close after being forced out of the final two rounds of the season.

Corthals currently lies third in the Independents' Trophy standings, 31 points behind leader Sergio Hernandez. However, with double points available from the final round in Macau, some 60 points were still up for grabs during the two remaining race weekends of the year.

Unfortunately for Corthals, budget issues have forced SEAT Belgium and the Exagon Engineering team to bring their season to an end.

Corthals had taken four Independent wins during the season to date.
