Rickard Rydell maintained his place at the top of the timesheets during final free practice for the second World Touring Car Championship round in Mexico, although BMW's Augusto Farfus ran him close.
With lap times around a second slower than what they were managing earlier, Rydell and Farfus swapped fastest times throughout the session, although it was the Swede that would eventually get the nod by nine hundredths of a second.
However, with SEAT having threatened to dominate in testing and first free practice, BMW will be pleased to see Jorg Muller backing Farfus up in third position, while Andy Priaulx in the third factory 320si was sixth behind Yvan Muller and Gabriele Tarquini.
Felix Porteiro, Tiago Monteiro, Tom Coronel and Alex Zanardi completed the top ten positions to make it a SEAT-BMW lock-out.
Chevrolet and LADA's tough weekend continued, however, with Rob Huff and Viktor Shapovalov both experiencing gearbox woes.
The session had to be red flagged after five minutes when advertising hoardings became lose down the main straight.
