SUNRED adds third car

SUNRED Engineering has announced that it will run a third car for this weekend's World Touring Car Championship event on the streets of Pau.

Local driver Eric Cayrolle will be at the wheel of a third SEAT Leon TFSi alongside Tom Coronel and Tom Boardman, with the latter returning to the team after missing the event in Morocco last time out.

Cayrolle competed in the WTCC during its previous incarnation as the European Touring Car Championship from 2001 to 2003, having enjoyed success in the French Super Touring Series before then – taking three titles in a row in the late 1990's.

The Pau event will see Cayrolle doing battle with a driver he has run alongside on a number of occasions in GT racing, with Laurent Cazenave having already been named in a second Wiechers-Sport BMW for the weekend
