Augusto Farfus ensured BMW remained on top at Brno by pacing the second World Touring Car Championship free practice session in the Czech Republic.
The Brazilian left it late on a drying track to post his quickest time, stopping the clock at 2min 10.994secs to outpace Andy Priaulx, who also left it late in the session to post his fastest lap. Jorg Muller was third quickest but more than half a second back, while Felix Porteiro was top Independent runner in fourth.
Gabriele Tarquini was first of the SEAT drivers but was more than a second and a half away from the front-runners, while the Italian was followed on the times by team-mates Yvan Muller, Rickard Rydell and Tiago Monteiro.
The petrol-powered Independent SEAT of Marin Colak and Rob Huff's Chevrolet rounded out the top ten. Jaap van Lagen was 16th in the first of the LADA Sport cars, but team-mate Kirill Ladygin went off and was unable to rejoin the session after receiving outside assistance to get back to the pits.
Ladygin was one of three drivers not to set a representative time, with Tom Coronel and Tom Boardman both more than ten seconds off the pace.
