SEAT loses FIA appeal

SEAT's appeal regarding changes to the turbo pressure of the Leon TDi has been thrown out by the FIA Court of Appeal, who have ruled the appeal as inadmissible.

SEAT launched the appeal following decisions taken by the Touring Car Bureau to change the maximum supercharged air pressure on the car.

That led SEAT to make a request to the World Motor Sport Council asking for the decision to be reversed, although the WMSC rejected the request.

As a result, SEAT then went to the Court of Appeal but following a meeting prior to the Brands Hatch race weekend, the appeal was rejected by the governing body.

The regulations will therefore remain 'as is' for the foreseeable future.

Good. The SEAT Diesels are a joke to be quite honest. The petrol car is still competitive even without the development that it would get as a Factory backed car.
