The FIA World Motor Sport Council has unveiled a twelve-date calendar for the 2010 World Touring Car Championship season.
The calendar features at least two new venues, with the possibility of a third to follow, while there is no slot on the schedule for an event in France – the only country to host a race this year which doesn't feature on the calendar.
As per usual, the season will start with the events in Brazil and Mexico before a second race on the streets of the Moroccan capital Marrakech after the successful event held earlier this year.
Italy will open the European season at a circuit yet to be decided before Zolder makes its WTCC bow as Belgium returns to the schedule.
With the Portuguese round only being held on the streets of Porto every other year, the event will move to Portimao in 2010 marking the first time the WTCC will have raced in the Algarve, with Britain, the Czech Republic, Germany and Spain rounding out the European season.
Japan and Macau will then conclude the season.
