Final WTCC championship standings

A look at the final championship standings following the WTCC season finale in Macau
The World Touring Car Championship finale in Macau saw Gabriele Tarquini secure the title for the first time – becoming the oldest winner of an FIA world title.

Tarquini ended the season just four points clear of team-mate Yvan Muller with Augusto Farfus ten points further back as the lead BMW driver. Rob Huff was top Chevrolet man in fifth overall while James Thompson was the only LADA man to score during the season and ended up 17th overall.

The manufacturers' championship went the way of SEAT for the second straight season, just three points clear of BMW and 99 clear of Chevrolet, while Tom Coronel picked up a second Independents' crown with a 13 point winning margin over former BMW works driver Felix Porteiro – now running with Proteam Motorsport. Franz Engstler wrapped up third thanks to the fact that Stefano D'Aste was forced to miss the season finale.

Coronel's SUNRED Engineering team also secured the Independents' Team Trophy from Proteam and Liqui Moly Team Engstler.
