Eurocup champion Michelisz graduates

Norbert Michelisz makes the step into the WTCC following title success in the SEAT Leon Eurocup
Norbert Michelisz will graduate to the World Touring Car Championship for the 2010 season following his title winning campaign in the SEAT Leon Eurocup.

Michelisz took five wins en-route to the Eurocup title last year and produced an impressive performance in his second outing in the WTCC at Brands Hatch – where he made it through to the second phase of qualifying.

That outing, thanks to his performance in the Eurocup, was the Hungarian drivers second appearance in the WTCC after a similar one-off outing in Japan in 2008.

Michelisz took third place in the European Touring Car Cup back in October, securing pole and race one victory in Braga to finish behind James Thompson and Franz Engstler in the standings.

Michelisz's SEAT Leon TDi will be run by the same Zengo Motorsport team that took him to the Eurocup title.
