A third Lada Granta is set to appear on the FIA World Touring Car Championship grid in 2013.
According to Motorsport-Total.com
the car will be piloted by a 'guest driver' at certain rounds and is rumoured to be for the winner of the 'Lada Granta Cup' - a single make championship in Russia.
The guest driver will compete alongside James Thompson and Aleksei Dudukalo, both of whom will race the Lukoil sponsored Russian car for the whole season.
The car has been thoroughly developed throughout 2012 with Thompson at the wheel, with extensive testing and then racing at two rounds, the best finish being an eleventh place in Hungary.
Lada will be looking to better its personal best finish of two sixth places at both Imola races in 2009, again, with Thompson at the helm.
