World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff is to make his first race outing since winning the title in Macau next month after inking a deal to compete in the Bathurst 12 Hours.
Huff will be at the wheel of a GT3-spec Audi R8 LMS run by the Peter Conroy Motorsport team, with fellow Briton James Winslow and team owner Peter Conroy as his team-mates.
The event will give Huff the opportunity to sample the iconic Bathurst circuit for the first time, with the possibility that he could return to the venue in V8 Supercars at some point in the future; the Australian series being seen as an option for the 33-year-old at some stage in his career.
Huff isn't the only driver from the WTCC to be heading 'Down Under' for the race, with Franz Engstler and Charles Ng sharing a Team Engstler-run BMW Z4 GT3 with former Independents' champion Kristian Poulsen and Darryl O'Young part of the driver line-up for the EQUITY-ONE Audi team.
A raft of other touring car stars from series around the world will also be in action, including Superstars champion Johan Kristoffersson, DTM legend Bernd Schneider and V8 Supercar aces Craig Lowndes and Jason Bright.
