Munnich head to Monza

Munnich Motorsport to continue pre-season preparations at Monza

Munnich Motorsport heads off to Monza this week for another pre-season test.

The test is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday and all three drivers, Marc Basseng, Markus Winkelhock and team owner, Rene Munnich are expected to be in action.

The outfit, which has spent recent seasons competing in the now defunct FIA GT1 World Championship, will field three SEAT Leon cars in the WTCC this year.

“The trucks are leaving the workshop to Monza today, where the next WTCC pre-season tests are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday this week,” read a statement on the outfit's official Facebook page.

Munnich Motorsport has been extensively testing since early January as they look to be competitive in their debut WTCC season, having run at Portimao and in the Algarve as well as competing in the Dubai 24 hours. Conditions are forecast to be cloudy and cold this week at Monza.
