Snow hinders Lada's final pre-season test

Lada begins last FIA WTCC test today

Lada has kicked off its final FIA WTCC pre-season test today under snowy conditions at the twisty and technical Magny-Cours circuit in France.

Reports from French journalists on the internet say that the Lada Granta Sport Lukoil team could take to the track sometime 'after 2pm' [local time]. The extensive test is scheduled to end on Thursday, but a loss of vital track time on Monday has hindered the team and driver Aleksei Dudukalo, who is expected to drive the car for the first time.

Lada previously came to the fast French track earlier in the month, with former double BTCC champion, James Thompson at the wheel. He completed 70 laps over two days of development work focussing on chassis setup and top speed, something which the Brit has in the past admitted Lada has lacked in its recent WTCC exploits.
