LADA Sport Lukoil duo James Thomspon and Aleksei Dudukalo will not start either of today's races at Monza, due to the extensive damage caused following their big coming together on Saturday in qualifying.

Aleksei missed his braking point at turn one, t-boning his team-mate in his resulting attempts to stop and avoid the sister car. Both cars were badly damaged. Dudukalo's machine suffered extensive damage to the front left, while Thompson's roll-cage geometry was wrecked, although he did get back out and do some laps in Q2.

"A lack of time to fix and [a lack of] vital spare parts for the cars are to blame [for our inability to race]," LADA Sport Lukoil team principal, Victor Shapovavlov told Eurosport. "We could have worked all night to fix one car, but there is little point. Marrakech is only two-weeks away, so we will commit to repairs after the Monza meeting."
