Nikolay Karamyshev is to join the World Touring Car Championship field for his home event in Moscow next month.
The 24-year-old will take the place of Hugo Valente at the wheel of a Campos Racing-run SEAT Leon and will also replace the Spaniard for the event on the streets of Porto.
Valente, who is unable to take part in either race meeting, will then rejoin the team for the remaining events on the schedule in the Americas and the Far East.
Karamyshev makes the move into the WTCC having previously competed in both the Russian national championship and the European Touring Car Cup.
Having clinched the Super Production class in the ETCC last year, Karamyshev is now competing in the Single-Make Trophy class this season and sits fourth in the championship standings – ten points down on leader Mario Dablander.
