The M?nnich Motorsport team has revealed plans to continue in the World Touring Car Championship next season, albeit with a reduced programme taking in selected events in 2014.

The team moved into the series this year having taken the FIA GT1 World Championship last season, running three SEAT Leons for Rob Huff, Marc Basseng and team boss Rene M?nnich.

Huff - who will move to LADA for 2014 - has taken the team's only win so far in what has been a challenging first year in touring car competition.

With changing regulations for next year, speculation has linked the German team with a possible customer deal with RML or with a manufacturer-backed programme, although neither will now come into play next year.

Instead, the team will focus primarily on an entry into the FIA World Rallycross Championship with an Audi A3 alongside selected WTCC outings with the current SEAT with the focus then on a full-time return to the series the following season.

"The ALL-INKL.COM M?nnich Motorsport team will take a partial break from the WTCC," team boss M?nnich said. ''Marc and I will have some infrequent races with the old car next year, when we have some space in our schedule.

"In 2015 we will plan to [race in the] World Touring Car Championship again with the whole team."
