Rob Huff eyes Dubai 24 hours honours

Rob Huff: I'm delighted to be reuniting with Munnich Motorsport for the 24 Hours of Dubai.
LADA's newest WTCC recruit Rob Huff is looking for success this coming weekend in the Dubai 24 hours.

The 2012 WTCC champion, who recently announced he will take in selected rounds of the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship (USCC) with Starworks Motorsport, will compete in the event with his former team, Munnich Motorsport, racing a Mercedez-Benz SLS GT3 in the A6 class and linking up with his WTCC team-mates from 2013, team manager Marc Basseng and team owner Rene Munnich.

“My 2014 sportcars campaign is really gathering momentum and will be a fantastic sideline to my full-time programme with LADA Sport LUKOIL in the WTCC,” Huff told his personal website. “I had a fantastic season racing with ALL-INKL.COM Munnich Motorsport throughout 2013. We surpassed all expectations and I'm delighted to be reuniting with the team for the 2014 Dunlop 24 Hours of Dubai.

“I get a lot of satisfaction from manhandling these monstrously high-powered GT3-spec machines and I can't wait to get behind the wheel of the team's Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

"With Munnich Motorsport's exceptional record of winning the 2012 FIA GT1 World Championship title, I believe we can take the victory this weekend.”

Meanwhile, also competing in the same class is fellow WTCC regular Darryl O'Young, who will pilot an Aston Martin for Craft Racing.

Former Macau race winner Duncan Huisman is slated to run too, driving a Mercedes-Benz SLS GT3 for GDL Racing.
