LADA has pulled the wraps off its brand-new contender for the FIA World Touring Car Championship, the Vesta.
The Russian firm, which recently celebrated its maiden WTCC podium result with Rob Huff's run to second place in Argentina, pulled the wraps off the production Vesta saloon during the annual Moscow Motor Show, before revealing its racing counterpart.
Having struggled to adapt the current Granta to the new TC1 regulations, the new Vesta has been developed from the beginning with a view to racing in WTCC in an attempt to ensure it is competitive from the off with the best possible dimensions and aerodynamics.
Though the production Vesta isn't likely to go on sale for another year, the WTCC version has been developed to be present from the start of the 2015 season.
Huff, James Thompson and Mikhail Kozlovskiy currently compete with LADA, but it is not certain if they will remain in 2015.
