Sebastien Loeb has been demoted outside the top ten and the points following the second World Touring Car Championship race in China after being punished for his collision with Citroen team-mate Yvan Muller.

Loeb misjudged his braking into the tight hairpin as he slipped up the inside of Muller, t-boning his title-contesting team-mate and causing enough damage to put him into retirement.

Though Loeb would continue on to finish in fourth place, the former World Rally Champion would later be handed a 30secs penalty that would drop him to 12th and outside the points. As such Norbert Michelisz moves up to fourth place, with Ma Qing Hua up to fifth.
