Castrol Honda team principal Alessandro Mariani says his group has 'worked 360 degrees on the car' after enjoying a productive test in Spain last week.

2009 World Touring Car champion Gabriele Tarquini ran for three days at the Valencia test and was joined by privateer driver Norbert Michelisz, working on the 2015 Honda Civic.

Team boss Mariani said the team made positive steps forward on winter developments and will have a vastly upgraded package for the upcoming WTCC season.

"We are satisfied with the test this week," said Mariani. "We made good progress and were able to validate some of the ideas and developments we made over the winter in areas like suspension, brakes and engine mapping.

"I can say we have worked 360 degrees on the car development and the results are positive in all areas. The feeling was good from both drivers and I'm happy that our programme is going according to plan for the 2015 season."

The WTCC season commences in Argentina on the 6-8 March.
