Ma Qing Hua says he wants to see more Chinese flags on the World Touring Car Championship podium in 2015 as he prepares for the season-opener in Argentina this weekend.

The Citroen Racing driver will compete in his first full WTCC season after impressing the team last year. The Chinese driver took victory in his second ever WTCC race and notched up another podium finish at his home round in Shanghai.

Qing Hua will be the sole Chinese competitor for the 2015 season, with the championship returns to Shanghai for round 10 on the 26-27 September. The 27-year-old is optimistic about the season ahead and is expecting a fierce competition in the season-opener.

"I want to finish every race, and in a good position too. It's about time we saw more Chinese flags on the podiums," said the former HRT and Caterham Formula 1 test driver. "Unlike my teammates, I haven't raced at Termas before. On the simulator, it seemed like a tough circuit. The track is slippery, particularly when it's hot, but that's the same for everyone."

Qing Hua re-joins Citroen for the new campaign in the fourth C-Elysee WTCC car after competing with the team last season.

"I'm really happy to be carrying on with Citro?n Racing, and to be racing a full season too," he added. "Competing as often as the others can only help me to feel more at ease with the car. I prepared over the winter, with plenty of physical training and two good test sessions. I think the technical changes suit my driving style."

The season begins this weekend (7-8 March) for the opening round at Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo in Argentina.
