Jos? Mar?a L?pez says he was anxious after winning race one around the Marrakech street circuit but was still able to increase his lead at the top of the World Touring Car Championship standings.

The reigning WTCC champion held off his Citroen team-mate Ma Qing Hua for victory after starting on pole position for race one and looked hot favourite to secure a weekend double-winner, despite starting 10th on the grid for race two under the reversed grid rules.

However, the Argentinian driver says he was feeling uncertain with his rivals starting ahead of him but he was able to apply good damage limitation by finishing third. That meant Lopez left Morocco with a 17 point lead ahead of Sebastien Loeb.
