James Thompson will not race at the Hungaroring after being forced to withdraw on medical grounds due to complications arising from a dental treatment.

The experienced Briton was due to start 14th on the grid in the LADA Vesta, but pain from the treatment has prompted doctors to recommend him sitting out this event.

"I'm disappointed not to be in the car, but I wasn't feeling great [in qualifying] and the doctors advised that it was best that I shouldn't drive."
