Zengo Motorsport has announced its driver line-up just days ahead of the opening World Touring Car Championship round with the signing of Hungarian pair Ferenc Ficza and Daniel Nagy.

The privateer Honda team has established itself as a front runner in WTCC thanks to the efforts of prot?g? Norbert Michelisz who, since his and the team's debut in 2010, have notched up four wins and a best of fourth overall in 2014.

However, with Michelisz switching to the official Castrol Honda WTCC squad for 2016, Zengo Motorsport has opted to stay true to its origins and dip into the Hungarian talent pool with the signing of Ficza and Nagy for a bolstered two-car effort.

Aged just 19 and 17 respectively, Ficza and Nagy step up to the world stage with experience in European Touring Cars and at national level, while Michelisz has been assigned to mentor the pair.

"It's hats off to Zeng Motorsport for backing Hungarian drivers just like they did with Norbi [Michelisz]," said WTCC promoter Frances Ribeiro. "I even proposed different options to them but in the end they're a Hungarian team and they wanted to keep going with young Hungarian drivers.

"This is great news for motorsport in that country but also for the WTCC because Zeng will put two young talents on the grid, while creating a great story-telling opportunity: it's not every day that two teenagers drive for the same team in an FIA world championship. Zeng is now racing against the clock with JAS and Honda to get its second car ready for Paul Ricard this weekend."
