Oriola takes historic first win

Chilton rounded out the podium ahead of Independents' winner Nash and Basseng, with Tom Coronel making the most of the clash between Tarquini and MacDowall to take sixth - the best result to date for a BMW driver this season.

Race one winner Michel Nykjaer took seventh, with BMW trio Franz Engstler, Darryl O'Young and Charles Ng rounding out the top ten.

Home hero Mehdi Bennani just missed out on the points in eleventh, with Fredy Barth, Mikhail Kozlovskiy and Stefano D'Aste the only other finishers.

Capping a miserable weekend for the Portuguese racer, Tiago Monteiro failed to take the start as a result of the damage sustained when he crashed his Honda in race one; the JAS Motorsport-run team being unable to fix his Civic in the short gap between the two races.
